Mick Edwards is a Principal Engineering Fellow with Raytheon Australia. He is currently appointed as the Principal Engineer of the Hobart Class DDG Authorised Engineering Organisation.
Mick’s key skills and interests lie in the fields of Engineering Management, Systems Engineering and Architecture, Technology Strategy and Technical Governance. He has extensive experience in utilising these skills in the domain of complex naval systems including applications in surface combatant and submarine combat systems, mine warfare systems, hydrographic systems and naval aviation systems over a 30 year professional career in the defence industry.
Mick holds a PhD from UniSA in Systems Engineering research, an MBA (Technology Management), a M.Eng.Sci (Communications) and B.E. (Electrical). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer and a long time member of SESA/INCOSE.
