Mark Eggler


Mark has over 25 years’ experience working on complex projects as a senior professional
engineer and project manager. He has niche expertise in the technical definition, systems
engineering and program/project management of large scale, complex capital acquisition
programs. Over the years, he has worked on many of Australia’s largest Defence major
acquisition programs. In more recent years he has worked in senior program and
engineering roles on large internationally based projects. In 2000, Mark was awarded a
Chief of Army commendation for outstanding achievement in project and engineering
management for his work on Australia’s Project Bushranger.
In 2008, Mark established Eggler Consulting Engineers, a professional engineering
services company specialising in military vehicle technology. In 2016, Mark established
Eggler Technology Training, a market-leading education and training services
company focused on advancing knowledge and skills in complex systems design,
systems engineering and military technology. He now delivers these high-technology,
professional development training courses to governments and defence companies
around the world.
Mark graduated from RMC Duntroon with an honours degree in mechanical
engineering. He holds a Master of Science (Defence Technology) and has completed a
broad range of postgraduate studies in economics and finance. Mark is currently a
visiting fellow at the University of New South Wales (Australian Defence Force
Academy). He also holds the positions of Deputy Chairman, Australian Defence &
Industry Network (ACT) and Secretary/Treasurer of the Systems Engineering Society
of Australia.
