Mirela M. Derrin is a company director, Chair of the Victorian branch of the Australian Society for Defence Engineering and a board member of Mechanical College Engineers Australia.
Mirela gained her Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Engineering at the University of Wollongong followed by postgraduate studies in Risk Management, Cyber Security and Business.
Mirela commenced her career with TEXTRON designing, testing and commissioning high speed transmission units with specialised applications in the Defence industry. Her later roles include R&D positions for the Automotive Industry, Radioactive Material Packaging with ANSTO and Investigative functions within DSTG. After working as a Loss Prevention Consultant and Risk Manager for several large global corporates Mirela is now running her own Risk Management Consultancy.
