Greg Williams is a risk and asset management professional with 35 years experience in the engineering and management of physical assets. He has a track record of achievement and leadership of technical functions, having worked in a variety of senior and general management positions across the defence, utilities, telecommunications and rail industries.
Throughout Greg’s career he has remained keenly interested in maintenance, reliability and process safety practices. He has delivered workshops, lectures, training courses and technical papers on a variety of maintenance and asset management related subjects and at international conferences.
An active member of Engineers Australia and the Asset Management Council, Greg is also involved with standards committees and various technical interest groups. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia registered on the NER, a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), a Certified Fellow in Asset Management (CFAM), a Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) and a Member of the Risk Management Institute of Australia (RMIA). Greg has a first-class honours degree in aerospace engineering and post-graduate qualifications in maintenance management, business administration and aviation logistics.
Greg is currently the Director of Engineering and Asset Management at Yarra Trams (a Keolis Downer operation in Victoria).
