Lilanthi Balasingham is the lead Systems Engineer for Intelligent Transport within WSP (Australia) and an INCOSE Industry Ambassador. She is currently the Systems Engineering Manager for the Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems Pilot as part of the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads’ Cooperative and Automated Vehicle Initiative. Prior to her engagement with the CAVI program, she was responsible for providing systems engineering management services for TfNSW’s Sydney Metro Northwest and City & Southwest projects.
With dual qualifications in electronics engineering and information technology (software engineering & computer science), Lilanthi’s technical specialty is in the engineering of information and control systems for public infrastructure, developed over a career spanning over 19 years’ in engineering, planning and delivery of complex systems in a range of domains including water, wastewater, rail and road transportation, manufacturing and airport logistics. She is an experienced systems engineering practitioner, combining her technical knowledge and experience with project management and contract management.
